GitHub Suffers Another DDOS Attack
It seems the popular code repository service GitHub is suffering another DDoS attack brining its server down to its knees and taking the site offline for developers and coders.
There has been lots of discussion on Twitter with developers reporting the site is not responding and GitHub have confirmed that their site is suffering a DDoS (Denial-of-service attack).
We are currently working to mitigate an incoming DDoS attack. We’ll provide additional information as it becomes available.
This has become a common issue for GitHub in recent months as the site and servers grows in popularity, although little has been said as to why the site has been hit. Last August, GitHub was hit twice by DDoS attacks and hence, their team have become good in migrating in these situations.
